It's the End of Summer.....

A started first grade! He was so excited to go "all day" to school and to eat lunch there. He started school on the 21st of August at the new elementary in Mountain Green. His teacher's name is Miss Hansen.(whcih A and his friends still think is pronounced Miss Handsome). He loves having 3 recesses and LOVES school lunch.


L's 1st birthday was on the 24th of August. That year went by so fast and they grow so fast. There is no stopping it. I remember crying when she was 3 weeks old because she was already getting bigger and I didn't want her to. But here she is 1 year old, and I do have to say every stage is fun and it's great to see her little personality develop.(very sassy and girly, but she does keep up with her brothers and loves to wrestle with them!)


N's 4th birthday was on the 7th of September. He is 4! He had his first "friend party" the Saturday before. The theme was Buzz Lightyear. All his friends got to pretend they were Space Rangers and we played all sorts of space ranger games and had buzz lightyear planet cupcakes. The next day on his "real birthday" he was excited to be sung to in primary and he wanted a bumblebee transformer cake. Also, he learned to ride his bike without training wheels the night of his birthday. He was so proud. Now he's even more crazy on his bike...what did we do!?



A started soccer again. This is his third year. He seriously is an awsome player. I have always liked soccer, but I never played. He got his athletic talent from his father, that's for sure.


N also started preschool. We do a neighborhood preschool where the mom's take turns being the teacher. He loves it and it is good to get him doing something fun because his big brother and best friend is gone all day at school now.

Cabin 2008

This is the 4th year the Bair Family has rented a cabin for a getaway. This year we went to a cabin East of Heber City. We always have way fun(with a little bit of chaos involved.) Fun including 4-Wheeling, the kids club house in the woods, swimming in Jordanelle reservoir, hiking to Timanogos Cave, fishing-only to catch none:), taking a walk around the small wonder Cascade springs, shooting BB guns at homemade targets, crafts, late nights talking(after the kids are FINALLY in bed), glow in the dark dancing, Bair family challenge, deer and a famliy of moose walking right through our camp, and of course tons of food, food, food!!! Cahos involving a broken window, lost car keys(still not found), a broken bear tail, bad weather at the Reservoir, and lots of other "fun" that includes 20 people in ONE cabin, and trying to keep 12 children happy at all times. Thanks fam for the fun, we love all of you!

To public pool, or not to public pool?

A wanted to go swimming. Well, we could have went to the Roy aquatic center.....but it was a Friday the day after a holiday and who wants to brave the crowds at a public swimming pool? Who even needs a built in swimming pool in the back yard? Obviously not the Patterson's! Okay, we are a bit RED-NECK, but we had our privacy, fun, and no crowds in our very own 8 foot pool!!! Beat that!

Friends

It was fun getting together with my friends this week. We haven't all been together for 2 years but we still can have as much fun as ever! We went to dinner and laughed the whole time about fun memories and of course because of the fantastic comedy we all have! The next day we went to Liseanne's house for Craft Corner! She cut words out of wood for us to paint and take home. Our kids were even invited (all 12 kids under 6!!!)and they all played together while we painted (chaos but fun!) Thanks Liseanne! You are very talented! (Also thanks for letting me copy pictures from your blog) To all my friends: thanks for the good times, lets not wait so long to get together again!
